Following a pick-up from your hotel or riad in the city center, spend the morning exploring the botanic Majorelle Garden, designed by an expatriate French artist in vivid cobalt blue. Pause for reflection by the pool in Menara Garden, a favored summer residence of the Sultan Abderrahmane.  We explore the Koutoubia Mosque as is an often visited site with its Minaret held in the same regard by Moroccans as the Eiffel Tower is thought of by the French. The Saadian Tombs, which were left untouched for 100s of years until they were rediscovered in the 20th century are beautifully decorated with Moroccan tiles. Jemaa el fna square is a open space in the centre of the city, but the stage for a long-established ritual in which shifting circles of onlookers gather round groups of acrobats, drummers, pipe musicians, dancers, storytellers, comedians and fairground acts. Visit many Souks and sites of Marrakech, to see the locals selling everything from fresh vegetables and spices to leather and jewelry.Historical gardens. Visit the famous Majorelle Gardens; surround yourself with the orchards and olive groves in Menara Garden.
