8 days from MARRAKECH
Day 1: Arrive to Marrakech airport and transfer to your riad.
Day 2: Marrakech Sightseeing.
After breakfast we’ll explore Marrakech – “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure you see the most important historical and cultural sites, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square we’ll take a walk through the souks and the rest of the day will be at your leisure.
Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – ouarzazette – Dades Valley
After collection from your riad / HOTEL IN Marrakesh we will set off for the Dades Gorges. Passing through Tizi-n-Tishka in the High Atlas Mountains we will visit the UNESCO World heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou which has been the backdrop for many films including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Alexander. After lunch we’ll enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate and the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. We’ll also pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna and Boumalene du Dades where we will spend the night.
Day 4: DadesValley – Toudgha Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast we will leave Boumalene du Dades for Merzouga,Today’s target point is arriving to Merzouga which is known for the highest sand dunes in North Africa. THE DESERT! It is called Erg Chebbi Sahara desert and it is about 20 kms long and 5 kms wide and is a unique, multifaceted environmentWe’ll pass through the dramatic Dades Valley and Toudgha Gorges and then will have lunch in our way in the finally arriving to our destination Merzouga where will have night in riad or hotel .
Day 5: Merzouga. camel ride in desert and night in a camp
After breakfast we’ll set off for Erg Chebbi, Merzouga, enjoying the desert landscapes, We will then have an opportunity to hear the Gnawa music of Khamlia where we will have lunch in a small restaurant owned by a Gnawi person. Then it is a short drive to a nearby HOTEL FOR some refreshments before a camel ride into the desert. All unnecessary luggage will be left in safe rooms at the hotel. Guide of camel trek will take us to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of severalStandard Camp – We will leave our belongings in a hotel at the dune line and enjoy the trek to the oasis where our camp is located and after a moonlit dinner and drumming around the camp fire, sleep in Berber tents or perhaps star gazing under the magical Saharan night sky. The following morning we will return by camel to the hotel for breakfast, before enjoying a full day exploring the desert. Luxury Camp – You and your camel will trek across the dunes, led by your trusted camelateer, to the Luxury Camp in time to see the spectacular sunset over the dunes. (All your belongings will be transported in the 4×4 to the camp) This camp is small and private with beautiful lanterns and cushions everywhere, big, comfortable beds and with en-suite facilities. Attention will be lavished on you all night and you will enjoy camp fires, music and drumming and a three course dinner. (Sand boarding and games available.) Dinner and overnight in Desert Camp.
Day 6: Merzouga – Draa valley – Ouarzazette
Before sunrise, you will be woken up to climb the sand dunes for fantastic photo opportunities. We will then make our way back to the HOTEL FOR showers and breakfast before we continue our journey to Ouarzazate, passing through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, and the Draa Valley. We will spend the night in a guest house in Ouarzazate
Day 7: Ouarzazette – High Atlas mountain – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will set off for Marrakech, passing through the spectacular High Atlas mountains and we will then drop you off at your riad
Day 8: Transfer to the airport
